Here's a fun "covers" digital 7" single. First up is a GUIDED BY VOICES song. Except it’s not. Ben London from the band ALCOHOL FUNNYCAR challenged some of his songwriting friends to write and record a song in the style of GBV to release on a cassette only comp. Ben gave Mike the song title “Used Gunslinger” and Mike did his best Pollard impression. We hope you dig it! The B-side is a (real) cover of “Friend of Mine” from BIG DRILL CAR - the story here is drummer Wal tracked drums, bass and a rhythm guitar for this many years ago. We didn’t even know he did it. A couple weeks ago Wal sent Mike the song, knowing he liked it, and asked him to add vocals to it. Mike decided to not only add vocals, but a ton of new guitar parts, turning it into a guitar solo drenched “proper” Jr Juggernaut cover. We hope you dig this one as well! This fun digital “covers” single will be available exclusively on Bandcamp.
